Sale Prices
Note: This feature is not available on every Ecommerce tier plan. If the feature is not available for your plan, you will see the corresponding notification.
Set sale prices in percentage or absolute value on individual products in your store.
When you put a product on sale for a lower price, that value will override the default price. So the original price will be shown struck out, and the product image receives the label "ON SALE".
Setting a "Compare To" Price
To show a sale price in your online store, your product details need to include a sale price and the original price, called the "Compare to" price.
- Go to Catalog → Products.
- Open the product you want to edit.
- Click the Manage pricing options next to the price:
4. Add the "Compare to" price. This price must be higher than the actual price you sell for:
5. Save the changes.
By default, product variation sale price mirrors the base product sale price. So if you set the “Compare to” price for your product, the same “Compare to” price is applied to all its variations. You can set individual sale prices for your variations if you need.
Setting ”Compare To” Prices For Product Variations
To set “Compare to” price for a product variation:
- Go to Catalog → Products.
- Choose the product.
- Go to the Options → Variations tab.
- Find a variation you want to put on sale, then click Manage:
5. Set a new actual price in the Price field (if needed).
6. Click on the arrow icon next to the Price field.
7. Set the price in the "Compare to" price field. This value must be higher than the value in the Price field to show a sale price:
8. Click OK, then Save.
Customizing Sale Prices
You can choose how the sale prices look in your store: specify if savings are a percentage or an absolute value, where the price is displayed, and with what wording.
- Select Settings → General → Cart & Checkout.
- Scroll down to the "Compare to" price section.
- Make the necessary changes.
